What is CV International?
We are the global outreach ministry of Clear Vision Drama Company, a professional Christian drama ministry based in Springfield, Missouri. CVI trains and sends short-term teams to be witnesses for Jesus Christ "to the ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8) using drama and creative arts tools in a missions context. We are incorporated in the state of Missouri as a non-profit corporation, and we are accountable to an independent board of directors for the conduct of our ministry.

WHY USE DRAMA FOR MISSIONS?

In 1999, Clear Vision Drama Company began to travel the United States seeking to present the gospel of Jesus Christ to a media-driven society through the means of drama and to challenge Christians with visual presentations of Biblical truths. In 2008, the ministry expanded to include sending teams overseas under the name of CV International. Whether in the U.S. or around the world, the principle is the same: people relate well to messages presented in visual form because we are visual creatures. Drama is a great tool for ministry; it is dynamic, flexible, and adaptable to almost any ministry situation. And for missions specifically, drama works very well as an additional means of sharing the gospel; it easily overcomes language barriers and forms a spiritual connection with people no matter what language they speak. As the apostle Paul wrote, we aspire to win some by all possible means (1 Corinthians 9:22).

IS ACTING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO GO ON A MISSION TRIP THROUGH CV INTERNATIONAL?

Acting or other performance experience can be helpful, but it is absolutely not a requirement. What is required is a vital relationship of saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, a vital relationship with a local Bible-believing church, and a desire to be a witness for Christ to the nations. Basically, you just need to love Jesus and have the heart of a missionary. We will provide you with all the tools and training necessary to do drama-based missions.

WHAT WILL A CV INTERNATIONAL MISSION TRIP BE LIKE?
Obviously, drama will be a primary tool for you during the course of your ministry overseas. However, it will not be the only one. When you are sent, you will be hosted and deployed by a career missionary in the country to which you travel. The missionary will plug you into the ministries he or she is doing in that place. This means that you can expect to do things like school assemblies, high school and university outreach, street and park ministry, camps, church services, and even media outlets. But a CVI trip is about missions more than mere performance, which means that other opportunities will be available to you as well. You may be able to preach, share your testimony in personal evangelism, build relationships through teaching English, and many other things. One thing we can promise: a CVI mission trip will be life-changing!

WHO CAN GO ON A MISSION TRIP WITH CV INTERNATIONAL?
Anybody! Our trips generally include two groups: we send teams of high school students who are led by their youth pastors or adult sponsors from their churches, and we also send teams of college students from church or campus ministries or who apply individually. (See the trip descriptions for age and numerical requirements pertaining to each trip.) But for whoever does go with us, we pray that the last thing the trip will be is just something fun to do for Jesus, after which the team members go home and live life as before. On the contrary, we pray that the hearts and lives of CVI missionaries will be molded according to a Biblical worldview, meaning that the experience of serving in this missions endeavor will ultimately lead them to see their world as the Lord does (Isaiah 6:1-8). We believe that learning that lesson will have a multiplied impact in terms of how they serve in their churches, lead their families, and just walk with Christ for the rest of their lives.
